About us
Family owned and operated since 1997, Kids Corner Childcare Center aims to make this your child’s home away from home with a loving and fun environment especially during this extraordinary times.
The staff at Kids Corner is committed to providing a quality program for our families. Kids Corner caregivers have both practical experience, as well as formal training to work with young children. We also keep our teachers current in developments in the field with continuing education to meet Washington state requirements for childcare centers, providing subsidies for further education in the childcare field. Kids Corner requires safety screening on all our staff members, and make it our goal to choose the most loving caregivers for our families
Our story
The Pelham family has always been involved in helping children and families - from home daycare in Wichita to home daycare in Woodinville. After a few years Mrs Elaine Pelham closed her home center but her love of children brought her to Kiddy Corner.
There she worked part time passing on her love of children to the staff and families. So much so that then owner sold the center to Elaine and Pelham Family. Nicole Pelham took over in 2001 and continues family culture.
With their love of children the Pelham family has brought joy, safety, learning and love to thousands of families! And made it wonderful day for 25 years!
Ms Rosalba Rodas- Program Supervisor
My name is Rosalba you can call me “Rosa” I been working at Kids’ Corner childcare since 2000. I was born and raised in El Salvador central America and I moves to the U.S. when I was 15th years old. I speak Spanish and English and enjoy teaching both to the children. Working with children has been my passion for the last 22 years. I strive for a developmentally appropriate child center atmosphere that will foster the social, emotional, cognitive and physical development of each child in my care.
To meet this goal, we’ve develop a schedule and curriculum based on my belief that kids learn from constructive play.
I believe that having a warm and welcoming environment that encourages learning through experience and regular repeated activities that will encourage a positive self-esteem, creativity, self-awareness and problem solving.
I believe that each child is unique and they all have a different way of learning, we just need to help them find their interests, skills and natural intelligence.
